This Tauromaquia, was a homage to Goya. There were eight drawings but only four have survived. It is known that they were part of a volume entitled Taurus, Equus, Amor that was intended for publication in the periodical Litoral, in Malaga.
The Tauromaquia, incomplete and broken off, is a sequence of drawings in which Moreno Villa already demonstrates an absolute mastery of the line, showing the elegance and forcefulness in the stroke which marked him forever.
We do not know the final form intended for this book, although we might assume that, as the Schola Cordis series published in Litoral in 1926, it would be accompanied by texts, poetry or prose by the author.
The periodical Papel de Aleluyas published “Taurus, Equus, Amor, “ (Seville, July 1928), including the now lost four drawings, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Goya’s death (1746-1828)
