In the month of December 1934, Moreno Villa held his last solo exhibition in the Centro de Exposición e Información Permanente de la Construcción, a center led by young architects that was the Madrid headquarters of ADLAN (Amigos de las Artes Nuevas.) Moreno Villa was an ADLAN member.

There is no record left of that exhibition, but this series of drawings have a similar theme.

The atmosphere in this series recreated his lyrical landscapes, though it is less dramatic and more emblematic. We are not trying to decode the symbolism of the elements, just to point out the recurrent appearance of the anthropomorphic stones, the horse, the staircase, the clock, the train tracks, the turtle, and the street lamp.
